Overview

Role Purpose

Act as the Finance Business Partner for HR. To support the department in planning their OPEX and delivering business cases for all projects as well as providing insights to enable the department understand it’s performance against plan.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
  • Oversee and manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modelling tools
  • Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
  • Quarterly and Monthly Financial reports
  • Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports
  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies and understand ROI on new projects
  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives
  • Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes
  • Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis
  • Prepare presentations to Senior Management and partner business units as and when required
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments within Vodafone Ghana to facilitate accurate and timely and accurate accounting for financial transactions
  • Provide relevant documentations required for internal & external audit purposes
  • Ensure partner business units queries are responded to on time
  • Establish and maintain good working relation with other employees within the wider Finance Team and externally with Finance Decision Support and partner business units.
  • Make contribution towards developing strong controls for financial processes and improving accurate recording of financial transactions.
  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or comparable education
  • Qualified or Part Qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years work experience with at least 3 years in an accounting or a similar finance role
  • Proven ability to manage multiple competing deliverables
  • Telecom industry experience a Plus
  • Computer literate, strong in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Good communicator, both written and oral – Confident in liaising at all levels
  • Proven analytical skills, and the ability to work well under pressure to extremely tight deadlines
  • To have good understanding of financial transactions and accounting for them
  • Experience in reconciliation and reporting
  • To be knowledgeable in the use of ERP accounting systems preferably SAP
